OUR REGION OFFERS THREE SOCCER PROGRAMS:
Fall Season
This is our main soccer program with open enrollment for boys and girls ages 3-18 years. Registrations begin in April. Season runs August – November.
- Playground Division
AYSO Playground is a unique program designed by child development and soccer experts to give your child a foundation for sports success. Players and a parent* (or other adult) will participate weekly in age appropriate, storybook adventures. Your player will hop, skip, jump, run, throw, balance, kick… and play. Playground participants meet once a week on Saturday and there is no team play. *Parent participation is required.
- Schoolyard Division
Our new Schoolyard Program (replacing U5) gives young children and parents a fun and exciting introduction to AYSO. Once a week on Saturday, your child will learn the basic skills of soccer (like kicking and dribbling) through fun activities and participate in a friendly game. Your child will learn the fundamentals to the beautiful game of soccer with you* (or other adult) right beside them! *Parent participation is required.
Spring Recreation
This is a secondary program to our Fall program. It is a co-ed program open to boys and girls ages 4-11 yrs. Registration for this program usually occurs in January. Season runs March – May.
Spring Select
This is a non-open enrollment program for boys and girls in divisions U10-U19 who played in the fall season. This is a coach-select program. Coaches select their players according to spring select guidelines. Teams are formed in December and practices can begin the same month. This program allows children to play at a more competitive level while playing against other local regions and in tournaments. While it can be rewarding, it is also a big commitment. Along with travel, spring teams must provide referees for inter-region and tournament play. It also can cost several hundred dollars per player for the season. Length of season varies depending on coach.
