REGION 23

WEATHER GUIDELINES

(Subject to change)

We have established the following weather guidelines for Region 23.

HEAT (PRACTICES):

• If the projected high for the day is above 100 degrees, 6U  through 14U practices will be canceled. (16U through 19U practices will be held due to the later start times)

• If the projected high for the day is above 95 degrees, 6U  through 14U  practices will be held at coach’s discretion. (16U through 19U practices will be held due to the later start times)

• If the projected high for the day is below 95 degrees, practices will be held as normal.

HEAT (GAMES):

• If the projected high for the day is above 100 degrees, 6U through 14U games will be canceled. (16U and 19U games will be held due to the later start times)

• If the projected high for the day is above 95 degrees, 6U through 14U games will be held on a shortened schedule.

• If the projected high for the day is below 95 degrees, games will be held as normal.

RAIN (PRACTICE):

• If it is raining at practice time, practices will be canceled.

• If it has rained prior to practice time, 6U through 14U fields will be inspected by the Regional Commissioner and/or Safety Director. If deemed safe, and approved by the venue, practices will be held.

RAIN (GAMES)

• If it is raining or has rained prior to games, 6U through 19U fields will be inspected by the Regional Commissioner and/or Safety Director. If deemed safe, and approved by the venue, games will be held. 

Please note that you, as a parent, can keep your child home if you believe it is in the best interest of the child. There will never be any negative consequences for keeping a child from practice or games for their safety.
